Ritzy Kahala Avenue, no house less than 3 million on the side away from the beachfront properties. To the left all 4-5 million and up.

Aid Station along Kahala Avenue

A Tudor registered on the Historic Register for sale at 4+ million dollars. No beach front.

And the typical neighbors along the avenue.

Then it's leaving the avenue and heading up the slope of Diamond Head; see the distant Koko Head Crater where we ran past in Hawaii Kai.

Then the walking wounded head up "Heartbreak Hill"
as this 25th mile mark of the course. It's climbing the slope of Diamond
Head to get
to the finish line at Waikiki's Kapiolani Park on the other side of the slope.

At the top of the hill; "It's all downhill from here!"

And Santa greets us at the 26 mile mark. Only .2 mile now to the Finish Line with all the blasting music, loudspeaker, and cheering crowds.

Her man's "ship" hasn't come in yet.....

But your photographer's done!

Now a review of the course for all of you future Honolulu Marathon participants

These photos brought to you by sister Verna, the only greeter at the Finish Line for me as everybody else was busy.

As for me? It's back to the other side of Diamond Head Crater for -

Soup Noodles with sister Verna,

(At Zippy's where I have art -more- exhibited permanently - Kahala Zippy's)

And congrats from family - sister Sylvia and son Houston

A parting shot of the camera man - see you on the course someday? Aloha, Dr. Rodney Pygoya Chang
