Under the only overpass of the route and a body of water!

Just 2.2 miles to go! No shade on this marathon course; lucky it's held in January.

In Tempe, a "college town," where the Arizona State University Sun Devils rule.

Made me feel at home as a local Hawaiian boy; dig that lit plastic palm tree.

Shaky as I approach the Finish Line, lined with colorful ballons clustered like shapes of the desert.

There's the proverbial overhead Finish Line banner.

The Finish Line is next to the ASU sports stadiums.

Two huge stadiums. Finishers walk about after the Finish Line.

Always nice to be welcomed at the Finish by someone who cares and worries.
