SAN DIEGO ROCK N' ROLL MARATHON 2008

From Honolulu I had to go to LA airport first, then take a propeller commuter (American Eagle) to get to San Diego airport

I asked a ticket seller in a booth at Washington Street terminal of the Trolley.  She said I needed a ticket to leave the marathon area to get back to Qualcom Stadium.  Turns out all the other participants just got on the trolly when it arrived. I DIDN'T HAVE TO BUY ONE AS IT WAS FREE SERVICE TO AND FROM THE MARATHON AREA.   SO DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!
