24 mile mark nothing to write home to mother about, slight slope upwards

Portland downtown skyline, beautiful overcast keeps it cool for the runners.

Trailblazers play here. The Rose Garden

Another old brdige crossing; school band to the left.

Historic black metal bridge crossing

Would make an interesting oil painting for my living room.

Coming off the brdige, final stretch.

After running off the bridge, a right turn to this road.

Funky colorful historic building

Portland Marathon banners along the route in downtown segments of the route

Crossing Ash Street

Finish Line is downtown.

I pass this most energetic and cheering Blueberry Lady on the way out 5 hours ago and
she's still hollering encouragement to the runners.  I give her lst Place of runner cheerleading!
She's giving me a personal thumbs up!

The military help me greet the big 26 mile marker, always so beautiful to see and pass.

Coming in to the finish

The Fat Lady points the way!

The Finish Line ahead

Me, left of 5:30 sign (acutal time was 5:25);  I think the 4:30 is for the Half-Marathoners

Behind the Finish Line

Got my medal and flower for my sister waiting for me

Congrats from sister Sandra Young of Salem, Oregon

Ah, finally sitting down, resting in nice inner city downtown park.
