Sparrow Park

Neighborhood of impressive residences

Invited to take a break at this Oklahoma State University
mansion. If they only knew I was a former Sooner! Now
you know why I'm grinning - like a maniac.

The course is nicely marked to guide the different groups still moving on common ground

"No, that-a way!"

No, not a UFO in Roswell; it's a church with what appears to be a broadcasting transmitting tower

finally, a landscape shot.....

All in the family...

"And if you don't move your a-- faster, I'm going to eat it!!!!"

Er, sorry, I'll skip the banana.... ever see a gorilla in a Yoga position? Now you have.

Where are we?

Ah, meet up with a fellow Marathon Maniac; he's from Arkansas

Guess the last split of runners wasn't to divide the half from
the full marathoners.. There also were
5K distance runners and many relay teams doing the full marathon.

Looking to my rear, you can see the half marthoners turning to
the right; so the number of runners
drastically thins out at this point in the course

Backward "8" looks the same but you'll see many more reverse digits on mile mark banners.

Said he tried out for the NBA, had the height but sadly not the skills. So he took this job.

Big Top fun

There's many rolling hills during the first half of the marathon route

I think this is a finish line for a distance I'm sure
of... Guess when the course thinned out it wasn't just full marathoners
that left the half marathoners. Wish there was a sign to indicate who were
finishing their race for the day..... maybe I
missed it; all I cared about was following the sign instructing that
"full marathoners stay to the left."

Yeah Sooners!!!!!!!!

A welcome downward incline. But I believe the net for
the lst half was UPWARDS.
The second half of the course is more or less flat - but gets really windy when
you run along the lake.
Think that's a gas storage tower.

Another nicely tree shaded neighborhood
