Rounding a corner at 10 miles

Mickey Mouse clubbers

Other side of the train station

11 miles and it's hot!  There isn't much tree cover on this marathon route

Elvis instructs Half Marthoners to stay in the right lane.

Looking behind, I can note  the ratio of Half to Full Marathoners, or 31000 to 5700.

In this heat, and my slight cold, the sign isn't encouraging.

From here all runners photographed are Full Marathoners

Half way point with faster runners coming back on other side (at a pace of 4 hrs.)

Some history of this spot of the run.

Memphis and Louisville are other large cities of the state of Tennesee.  Memphis is famous for Elvis Presley and Louisville for
the U. of Louisville football team and the Louisville slugger baseball bat.

Quenched thirsts evident; many water hose spraying stations throughout the heat wave course.

There's hickory, oak, maple and other trees here in Nashville.

Looks like an historic Civil War battlefield

Some pretty cowgirls

14 miles, just 12.2  more to go!

KEEP ON TRUCKIN'
