hi unc rodcle!
great photos!!! :) ? love the lego houses! and the lei on your head!!!!
will send to the family!
have a nice weekend!!!! Michelle
Rod, Congrats on making it as well as you could. It might be a sign and a sense that your body is telling you that you need to cut down the number of miles. Half-marathons may be best to keep you from the possible worse accidents that runners experience.

Py's back home too after running the Minneapolis marathon! YEAH, true! BIG CONGRATS! He's now working hard to have the whole story online for you to see soon. And his latest book is out!!! For these news and more watch our WEBISM blog: http://worldwidewebists.blogspot.com/
Had another tough night/morning with the fever and diarrhea in the uncomfortableness of India. However, I simply continued resting all day, and was later able to visit a reputable doctor to make sure it's nothing serious. Feeling a lot better right now, and will hopefully be back on track by tomorrow or the day after. Drinking lots of water, took some dehydration salts, eating simple breads/rice, and fresh tender coconut water which is supposed to be really good for hydration. Excited to hear about Rochelle's opportunity to share her experience. Always great to give back to an institution that has given so much to us. Congratulations with yet another marathon. I am happy to hear that you had an "enjoyable life adventure"! Love, Bronson
Dr. Chang, The marathoncoursephotos.com web page is excellent. The photos of the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Marathon, the Nashville Country Music Marathon, and the L.A. Marathon gives a person an idea what it is like to participate in that marathon. The heat appeared to be brutal from the pictures of the Nashville race. The picture of the runner seeking shade from the railroad cars was a great picture. From the severe lack of shade, this is a race I want to avoid. The only other site that I have seen that does anything close to your site is: http://www.locorunner.com/running/RaceReport/NewYorkPhotos.htm This is a site by a runner from Houston, I believe his name is Pete Gaytan. He took pictures of his 2004 NYC Marathon race. Sincerely, Daniel Dudek
Dear Daniel, Thank you so much for your email and its comments. It is a motivational moment for me as you're the first runner to respond to me about the benefit of maintaining the site - for runners. I started running on the mainland instead of just my state because of the heat (cramps) but recently, it's been all heat anywhere. But I look forward to freezing my bums in the Indianopolis in the fall - and see if this can get my time back under 6 hrs. I'll have Minneapolis done by Tuesday so check it out. Another hot run, even as I sought refuge up close to Canada. Aloha, Rodney
Dr. Chang, I am certain that Indianapolis will not be too hot on November 8. The Minneapolis photos were excellent. If I ever entered the Minneapolis Marathon I feel I would know what to expect. I had the opportunity to run the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on May 31, 2009. The course seemed very familiar because I had seen your photos before running it. Chicago would be a great course to photograph. I have entered Chicago four times and I am always impressed by the number of spectators lining the course. The buildings and the neighborhoods are interesting too. Sincerely, Daniel Dudek
Rod, Oh, forgot to tell you I enjoyed seeing the Mississippi river since yours are the best views I've actually seen of it. I have driven across it and flown over it but I haven't gotten as close as you did with these photographs. Sorry the cramps were bad. Take it easier! Aloha, H
"Welcome to Sang's Imperial Cafe Fans Py! See yall in Dec Honoluu Marathon!"
Dr. Chang,Thanks for the questions. Its a tad chillier than most parts of Hawaii. The avg low is in the high 30's to low 40's and the avg high is in the upper 50's. Great long distance running weather. We have several hotels listed on our accomodations webpage http://monumentalmarathon.com/visiting-indy/accomodations/ within a couple of blocks of the start/finish line that have given us special pricing: The Conrad (Tel: 1-317-713-5000) (2 blocks) and The Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis by the Capitol (317.684.7733) (3 blocks). The following two hotels are literally adjacent to the start/finish line and the Health and Fitness Expo Indianapolis Marriott Downtown 350 West Maryland Street Indianapolis IN 46225 317.822.3500 The Westin Indianapolis 50 S. Capitol Ave. Indianapolis IN 46204 317.262.8100 Best wishes with your training. Sincerely, Carlton
