Hi Rod, CONGRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATS, bro!? What awesome news that i got from Erlinda when i called her yesterday!? WOW!? I am so proud of you!? What a GREAT time you completed the run in with such 'lousy' training for it!?? However, had a good feeling that you'd do well running that 10 miler we did together the week before it; but, honestly speaking, didn't expect you to do that well!? hahahahaha!~? You're daaaaaaaaaa BOMB and our awesome family marathon maniac man!? Welcome home, Rod! Luv, Clay
Aloha, Dr. Rodney. Yes, when you complete Hilo you would qualify for the Maniacs. After you complete the race, send us an email with the information requested on the membership page. http://marathonmaniacs.com/membership.html Good luck. marc
Just got an opening for you. Can you mail in your entry and check by Monday as I need to confirm everything by Wednesday. If I don't hear back from you I will need to give this sport to the next person in line. mahalo Wayne "Big Dog" Joseph Executive Director Big Island International Marathon
Hi Rod, Good to hear that you're doing fine after successfully conquering the Little Rock Marathon. You're definitely a 'true blue' marathoner that has 'learned' what it takes, with all the years of experience and not to mention 'miles', how to successfully complete a marathon without hurting yourself. You have to be truly 'tuned into your body' knowing what and how much it can handle/do. Good job. ;) I am most impressed with your mental fortitude and dog-hearted determination! ;) This personal 'true grit and guts' has put you into reach of getting your very own sports card as a Marathon Maniac! WOW!? Continued good luck, best wishes and, most importantly prayers to you my big brother. +++ Love, Clay
Hey Dad, Just wanted to send you a belated "Congratulations!" on another successful marathon! Mom shared the news with me as soon you called her. I'm not sure if you're back home in Hawaii yet, but if you are, welcome home my running Dad! Love, Bronson
Hey Dad, Nice to hear you've come home a champion! Thanks for sharing the link - I found you in the database. Congrats again! Bronson
Hi PyG, WELCOME BACK AND BIIIIIG CONGRATS on No. 31!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU're truely amazing. And no cramping this time! Boy, oh boy, you're younger than ever and still so strong. Very sexy-:) You deserve a monster size medal. Will be joy to run with you online soon and will tell our WEBISM family once it's up. Ah, Clinton's place. Big town.
Love, Little Ingrid
Dear Py, Congratulations. On the other hand JJs jog log looking pretty meager. Having some left ankle problems and have cut back to only a mile only twice a week. Getting problem even when I walk around house or office so wondering what's going on. LV marathon in doubt? Trying some massage and salves and got new shoes....hopefully if I cool it for awhile it will heal and I can restart the preparation program. Even considering doing a cross train and going to pool to do laps (less stress on body), and perhaps that may make things better. When I do laps nothing hurts and all feels well and can do 2 miles in an hour.... Aloha, JJ Jasinski, R
OK Coach.... Here's what I'm doing: taking supplement as you say now for 2 weeks (got chrondrotin, and glucosamine snake oils) relaxing and not running....run until feel twinge on any pain....seems more pain going downhill or down steps....but will lay off any running maybe go biking too besides swimming.... have new shoes size 14 (my real size is 12 or 13) and new socks....plenty room for pads and will get some gel inserts also doing reflexology and shiatsu to foot and pressure point areas which seems to help sad that when you start running get sorta a need to keep doing it but now have to come up with alternate plan to make it all work, but no biggie as I still have time and your help to do it right. also been thinking more about the art since I laid off on doing most of that for awhile....actually picked up the brush several times last week and started to do that again...canvas here I come Thanks Coach!!
HI Dad! I've been so busy these past few weeks because of pledgeship, but i'm enjoying it a lot! I've gotten really close with my fellow pledge sisters, and we're almost there!! After spring break, we'll have about 2 weeks, and then we'll find out if we can cross over or not. Right now, the chances are really good! they seem to like us.... the week after spring break is going to be crazy!! besides dress rehearsal every night, and my performances, i have an english final paper, speech, and chinese oral and written test! along with that, my pledge class and i have to figure when we can spend time together, or else we'll lose our chances... hahah very, VERY busy!! we could postpone it, but we wnat to fnish already. we are planning on crossing over on april 6th. as part of pledgeship, we had to attend other greek event, community service, and stuff like that. we also to fundraise $50 per person, so $200. with our planned date to finish everything, the only thing we have left for the next 2 weeks is fundraising. i'm excited, but super stressed out. tonight, we planned on holding a luncheon/reception/brunch kinda thing for my ballet department. once our performances are over, my pledge sisters and i are going to host a reception. we're charging $5 per person. as for the food, i'm gong to be using some of my meal points to buy stuff to eat, nd my sisters are going to be going to the grocery store. i'm trying to rent out my dorm lounge (w/ the piano) to host it. so far, i have 15 out of 110 invited guests! it's gong to be sooo tiring, but i think this was a super good idea. not only will i be able to fundraise for KGD, but i'll get to spend time w/ the ballet department, fsa and kgd. i'm so happy i joined FSA because they know all about my pledgeship, unlike IUBT. i invited the whole fsa, and they're probably gonna come! its a good thing that fsa supports me in pledging for KGD, it's also good that kgd supports me in being an FSA member because i can definitely be in both groups! so wish me luck to raising $200! besides that, this weekend was a lot of fun. i went to see beauty and the beast on thursday. afterwards, i went w/ FSA to my friend's house for adobo night. i also hung out w/ them saturday night. it was so fun! my friends cooked some filipino dishes, and we watched filipno movies until 3 in the morning. hahaha 2 of the 3 were in tagalog, but i could read the subtitles. besides the extra curriculars, school is going well. this weekend, i had study group w/ my public speaking group. we have a presentation after spring break. we're going to analyze roosevelt's speech after the pearl harbor attack (i picked it!). we worked about 3 hours on it on saturday. no more time for sleeping in!! haha, but it's okay. for english, it's a little stressful, but thats because i don't liek to read. tomorrow, i'm going to watch 'frankenstein." i just fnished reading the book today, my paper is about comparing the 2 medias. for chinese, i have a group project. we're supposed to make a video for our oral exam, but just found out making a movie is for extra credit. well, that's pretty much everything so far. OH! it's getting warm . i started wearing my slippers this weekend! i'm so happy. haven't worn my big, poofy white northface jacket since thursday =) hahah well, gotta go clean my room now =/ so messy! i don't have time to keep everything nice and tidy. hahah so ttyl! byeee! love, rochellehi uncle rodcle!! how awesome! will look at the pics now! congrats on doing another one. glad you didnt quit! esp cuz you enjoy running so much and good for your health!!!!! life is busy. esp. with parker now on spring break, having 2 boys at home is a little hectic. plus we're redoing our kitchen. uncle gary did it for us and we ordered all the cabinets and countertops from home depot. he put all the cabitnets in 2 days! awesome! now, we found out the countertops will not be put in for 3 weeks cuz homedepot is super backed up. how aggro!!!!! but, its gonna be super gorgeous! so, life is the pitts without out our kitchen and down stairs bathroom esp witha 2 babies!!!!!! other than taht, still enjoying maternity leave. we just had parker's 5th bday party yesterday. very first time party wtih friends! 20 of them!! well, 3 cousins and the rest all friends. it was at a place called my gym in kailua! he was the most best and happiest birthday boy!!! he had a ball! will send pics soon. well, hopefully soon!!! jake made 5 mos last week. sooooooooo fast! he's 16 lbs already! and i enjoy him so much!!! his exema is pretty bad. and just took him to the dr. cuz he got a bad cough. other than that, he's turning over and happy. hope all is well. gotta get all parkiers bday presents wrapped for tomorrow. hop;e youre doing well. thanks for sending me the link! loveay! mich
