Information on yearly marathon in Eugene
Pygoya, running no. 1 - "What's the weather like this year for the marathon?"
Race Director: "Who knows what the weather will be like June 18. It is so variable, but the last two years it has gotten up into the 80's by noon."
Answer for this year:
IT WAS A PERFECT LOW 50S STARTING OUT AND ENDED AROUND MID-60S! IT WAS
CLEAR EVEN AS RAIN WAS PREDICTED FOR THE WEEKEND AND THERE WAS A SLIGHT BREEZE.
THE COURSE WAS RELATIVELY FLAT, A RUNNER'S PAVED PATH ALONG THE WILLIAMETE
RIVER, AND IT WAS INDEED A "FAST COURSE." I BETTER MY LAST HAWAII
MARATHON, RUN 3 MONTHS AGO, BY 1 HOUR. - PYGOYA 4HR. 45 MIN, AGE 59

WOW! What wonderful coverage of your Eugene Marathon 26.2 mile route!
Thanks sooo much for sharing it with me. It made me feel as if i were
'running with you' as you managed to conquer this scenic course in a very very
impressive 4 and 3/4 hours! Boy! If you didn't stop and smell
the roses (literally) as you caught these beautiful photos, you could have
possibly run this marathon in about 4 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOKOUT!
But, you being the artist and 'good guy' that you are......you 'sacrificed' your
time so that the rest of us could get the experience and 'feel' of your run over
this Pacific Northwest course! :)
Congratulations once again, Bro Rod, for continuing to inspire me, the family
and all who know you for your many 'one-of-a-kind' dreams and goals that you've
achieved; and, that you continue to create for yourself in your life. :)
You are truly amazing! You really are daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa BOMB! :)
Your third marathon in about six months! Thatz darn amazing and quite an
achievement, bro! Congats once again and continued good luck as you
continue to make more of your dreams come true! Gooooooooooooo for it and
keep flying high! :)
